AWOW Technique challenge ! Saint-Valentin !

Une pluie de câlins et de bisous à toutes et tous ! Belle Saint Valentin !

Les jours ne sont pas toujours simples en ce moment et plus que tout, je pense que nous avons besoin d'amour, de solidarité et d'empathie, c'est sentiments qui tendent à être négligés par la société capitaliste actuelle. Alors, aujourd'hui, toute l'équipe AWOW, vous parlera d'amour, joli programme, non ?

Pour ce thème j'ai voulu changer un peu mes habitudes et faire quelque chose d'un peu hors des sentiers même si j'ai gardé les produits les plus intéressant du Mini Catalogue : Le lot Cœurs adorables ^^. C'est parti pour les explications !

It's not always easy these days, and more than anything else, I think we need love, solidarity and empathy - feelings that tend to be neglected by today's capitalist society. So, today, the whole AWOW team will be talking to you about love - a lovely programme, isn't it?

For this theme I wanted to change my habits a little and do something a little off the beaten track, even though I've kept the most interesting products from the Mini Catalogue: the Adoring Hearts pack ^^. Let's get on with the explanations!

Pour la technique, j'ai choisi quelque chose de simple et de peu technique en réalité, l'utilisation de la brosse à estompe et d'un pochoir maison. Pour un côté plus neutre, j'ai utilisé une touche de papier Brune Dune et c'est vraiment amusant parce que je pense souvent à Mikaela lorsque j'utilise cette teinte…

Elle l'adore et pas moi. Je me suis donc mise au défi de l'utiliser plus souvent pour lui faire plaisir - et pour me sortir de ma zone de confort - donc, en quelque sorte, cet ensemble est une déclaration d'amitié à travers la mer ^^.

Pour l'étiquette c'est assez facile. J'ai pris une chute de papier Brune Dune et j'ai utilisé une des découpes Série de cœurs du Lot Cœurs adorables pour percer le papier. Ensuite, j'ai passé ce dernier dans le plioir du lot Douce Elégance - disponible jusqu'au 29 février - puis j'ai utilisé une brosse à estompe et de l'encre Pâtisserie aux Pacanes pour ombrer les extrémités.

For the technique, I chose something simple and low-tech really, using a blending brush and a homemade stencil. For a more neutral feel, I used a touch of Crumb Cake paper and it's really funny because I often think of Mikaela when I use this shade....

She loves it and I don't. So I challenged myself to use it more often to please her - and to get out of my comfort zone - so, in a way, this set is a declaration of friendship across the sea ^^.

The label is pretty easy. I took a scrap of Crumb Cake paper and used one of the Heart Series cut-outs from the Adoring Hearts pack to pierce the paper. Then I ran the paper through the folding machine from the Softly sophisticated bundle - available until 29 February - and used a blending brush and Pecan Pie ink to shade the ends.

Dessus, un simple cœur découpé dans le papier Or Adoré de Sale a bration, les lettres XO découpées 3x et collées l'une sur l'autre pour plus d'effet et le texte bonne Saint Valentin du set Amour pour toi embossées sur une chute de Papier Sorbet.

Pour la carte, j'ai gardé mes marqueurs : plioir, lettres épaisses et vœu embossé sur papier Sorbet. J'ai utilisé ma brosse à estompe pour ombrer légèrement les lettres LOVE. Ensuite, une fois mon papier Blanc Simple gaufré, j'ai utilisé un cœur comme pochoir pour venir ombrer le centre en Flamant Fougueux, colorant en même temps le cœur. Finalement, je l'ai gardé et les lettres sont collées à plat dessus. J'aime le point focal que cela crée !

Pour terminer, j'ai utilisé du fil doré qui était en vente il y a quelques années mais qui peut être remplacé par de la cordelette dorée au besoin, et des cristaux irisés.

On top, a simple heart cut from Sale a bration's Most adored paper, the letters XO cut out 3x and stuck together for added effect and the Happy Valentine's Day text from the Love For You set embossed on a scrap of Sorbet paper.

For the card, I kept my markers: folding pen, thick letters and a wish embossed on Sweet Sorbet paper. I used my stamping brush to lightly shade the LOVE letters. Then, once my Simple White paper had been embossed, I used a heart as a stencil to shade the centre, colouring in the heart at the same time. In the end, I kept it and stuck the letters flat on top. I love the focal point this creates!

To finish, I used gold thread, which was on sale a few years ago but can be replaced by gold cord if required, and iridescent crystals.
