AWOW : CAS(e) the Mini Duo

Une belle année 2023 à toutes !

Voilà une nouvelle année qui démarre pour l'équipe AWOW ! Et ce mois-çi, le thème est parfait : CAS(e) a mini duo.

L'idée est de copier une création du catalogue Printemps et/ou de la brochure Sale-a-bration, voir de mixer les deux.

Pour ma version, j'ai choisi deux cartes du Catalogue Printemps et la gamme flore Fantaisie, ma meilleure amie de ce début d'année - mais il faut dire qu'ici, il fait gris gris gris et gris à chaque fois que je veux créer, ça m'influence -.

La première est la carte verte qui utilise les cadres du lot Plein d'élégance. J'aime beaucoup lorsqu'on utilise les découpes de façon un peu détournées comme ici. La seconde est la carte du bas du trio. Un cadre, un texte tamponné et un élément central fort.

En combinant les deux, voilà ce que ça a donné.

A beautiful year 2023 to all!

A new year is starting for the AWOW team! And this month, the theme is perfect: CAS(e) a mini duo.

The idea is to copy a design from the Spring catalogue and/or the Sale-a-bration brochure, or even to mix the two.

For my version, I chose two cards from the Spring Catalogue and the flore Fantaisie range, my best friend at the beginning of the year - but I must say that here, it's grey and grey every time I want to create, it influences me -.

The first one is the green card that uses the frames from the Plein d'élégance set. I really like it when you use the cut-outs in a bit of a roundabout way like this. The second is the bottom card of the trio. A frame, a stamped text and a strong central element.

Combining the two, this is what it looks like.

J'ai gardé l'idée des poinçons cadres sur lesquels j'ai ajouté de la texture avec le grand poinçon du lot Two Tone Flora, découpé, puis colorisé légèrement à la brosse à estompe et à l'encre Papaye Pâle. C'est un moment plutôt technique qui vous demandera beaucoup de patience. Cette découpe est très fine et il serait dommage de la déchirer en collant.

Par dessus, j'ai gardé l'idée du cadre de la seconde carte, évidé (poinçons Fleurons Encadrés). L'élément central est le voeu, embossé sur papier noir et encadré de mon rappel de teintes Tarte au Potiron et Papaye Pâle.

Enfin, j'ai ajouté des éléments fleuris autour du cadre, l'idée étant que l'on voit toujours le travail des étiquettes sur le fond. Là aussi, l'étape a été compliquée, j'avais peur de mettre trop d'éléments, ce qui aurait caché mon travail de fond....

Pour finir, j'ai ajouté des cristaux du Rhin Champagne et les nouveaux Gemmes pastels irisés Corail - ils prennent tellement tellement bien la lumière c'est fantastique -.

Voilà pour moi aujourd'hui ! Et maintenant allons voir la création de Mikaela !

I kept the idea of frame punches on which I added texture with the large punch from the Two Tone Flora set, cut out, then coloured lightly with a blending brush and Papaye Pâle ink. This is a rather technical moment that will require a lot of patience. This cut-out is very thin and it would be a pity to tear it while gluing.

On top of this, I kept the idea of the frame of the second card, hollowed out (Framed Flower punches). The central element is the wish, embossed on black paper and framed with my Pumpkin Pie and Pale Papaya colour scheme.

Finally, I added floral elements around the frame, the idea being that you can still see the label work on the background. Here again, it was a complicated step, I was afraid to put too many elements, which would have hidden my background work....

Finally, I added some Champagne Rhinestone and the new Coral Iridescent Pastel Gems - they catch the light so well it's fantastic -.

That's it for me today! And now let's go and see Mikaela's creation!
