C'est le moment de notre saut StampINKspiration mensuel ! Au programme ce mois-ci, un sketch. Hé oui, je vous avais prévenue mercredi, c'est un mois à facilités ! Et parfois, ça fait vraiment du bien - surtout pour moi - de se rappeler que simplicité peut rimer avec technique et amusement.

It's time for our monthly StampINK inspiration jump! On the program this month, a sketch. Yes, I warned you on Wednesday, it's a month of ease! And sometimes it feels really good – especially for me – to remember that simplicity can rhyme with technique and fun.

Je vous propose aujourd'hui une adaptation très simple du sketch. Un fond de carte blanc et un travail à l'embossage résistant dessus.

J'ai commencé par tamponné et embossé en blanc mon grand Tournesol. Je sais, les tournesols ne sont pas de saison mais j'adore cet ensemble et j'ai choisi ici de travailler des couleurs estivales pour faire oublier le côté fin d'été de cette si belle fleur.

I propose today a very simple adaptation of the sketch. A white basemap and a work with resistant embossing on it.

I started by stamping and embossing my big Sunflower in white. I know, sunflowers are not in season but I love this set and I chose here to work with summer colors to make forget the late summer side of this beautiful flower.

J'ai pris un bloc d'encre, et j'ai simplement appliqué mon encreur Béguin Bleu sur la moitié supérieure et l'encre Tellement Safran sur la moitié inférieure. J'ai pulvérisé de l'eau sur l'ensemble et appliqué mon bloc acrylique sur le papier aquarelle en appuyant bien.

Ensuite... ensuite j'ai pris mon pinceau et j'ai fait des petites retouches, notamment pour apporter une touche de vert sur la partie supérieure droite du tournesol, ou venir foncer différents pétales. Puis j'ai laissé sécher.

I took a block of ink, and I simply applied my Blue Crush ink on the top half and the So Saffron ink on the bottom half. I sprayed water on the whole and applied my acrylic block on the watercolor paper by pressing well.

Then... then I took my brush and I made small alterations, especially to bring a touch of green on the upper right part of the sunflower, or come to darken different petals. Then I let it dry.

Pendant ce temps-là, j'ai découpé un grand tournesol dans du papier blanc, tamponné le vœu - set Tulipes Naissantes - en ton sur ton sur du papier Tellement Safran et découpé une petite bande de papier noir nu. Je considère que le grand tournesol remplace le rectangle du sketch. Il ne restait qu'à faire le montage et à ajouter quelques Gemmes à facette pour terminer cette carte !

Meanwhile, I cut a large sunflower out of white paper, stamped the vow - set Nascent Tulips - in tone on tone on so much Saffron paper and cut out a small strip of bare black paper. I consider that the large sunflower replaces the rectangle of the sketch. All that remained was to do the editing and add some faceted Gems to finish this card!
