Bienvenue à ce nouveau saut de l'Equipe StampINKspiration pour ce combo de couleurs... un peu Noël en juillet !

Quand j'ai vu l'image qui accompagnait le combo, je me suis dit, oh là. Définitivement pas pour moi. Attention, pas les teintes, l'aspect Noël même si j'avoue que ça fonctionne très bien. Donc, j'ai gardé les 5 teintes... mais pour un effet complètement différent. C'est parti !

Welcome to another hop from the StampINKspiration Team for this color combo... a little Christmas in July!

When I saw the image that accompanied the combo, I thought, oh boy. Definitely not for me. Mind you, not the shades, the Christmas look, even though I admit it works very well. So, I kept the 5 shades... but for a completely different effect. Here we go!

Première façon d'adoucir le combo, prendre un fond blanc et travailler les teintes à l'aquarelle. Je penche souvent pour cette technique en été, comme si l'humidité des pinceaux pouvait me rafraîchir…

J'ai utilisé un des set Hôtesse de Stampin'Up ! Night of flight et ces si jolis papillons de nuit. J'aurais pu prendre une dominante Paon pour l'arrière-plan mais honnêtement, pour moi c'était vraiment trop foncé. J'ai tamponné à l'arrière plan en ardoise les différents papillons.

Ensuite, j'ai embossé mes papillons sur le papier aquarelle et je les ai teinté avec les différentes couleurs. Le corps du papillon est en cerise, les ailes démarrent en Sorbet Sucré puis Pecan Pie et enfin Blé Sauvage. C'est un dégradé juste parfait je trouve même si, en vrai, les papillons de nuit n'ont jamais ces couleurs…

The first way to soften the combo is to take a white background and work the shades with watercolors. I often use this technique in summer, as if the moisture from the brushes could cool me down...

I used one of Stampin'Up! Night of Flight set and these pretty moths. I could have used a dominant Peacock for the background, but honestly, it was just too dark for me. I stamped the different butterflies on the slate background.

Then I embossed my butterflies on watercolor paper and tinted them with the different colors. The body of the butterfly is in cherry, the wings start in Sorbet Sucré then Pecan Pie and finally Blé Sauvage. It's just the right gradation, even if, in real life, moths never have these colors...

Toujours à l'aquarelle, j'ai colorisé des étiquettes des poinçons Compositions artistiques - ces découpes sont juste géniales - à l'encre Paon Pimpant, puis, après séchage, j'ai ajouté le vœu - Set Faïences texturées -. en ton sur ton. J'ai volontairement travaillé mes teintes pour que Paon reste discret mais rien ne vous empêche de foncer la teinte.

Enfin, munie d'une brosse à estompe, j'ai teinté un morceau de vélin à l'encre Blé Sauvage. L'effet est miroitant, presque doré et vraiment, j'adore. Il ne restait plus qu'à passer le tout dans un poinçon Feuillage (Textures florales ici).

Wooow. Au départ je ne pensais pas utiliser toutes les couleurs sur un seul projet et finalement…

Alors ? Vous voyez, ce combo n'est pas à cantonner à Noël ^^.

Maintenant, allons vite voir les créations des copines !

Still in watercolor, I colored the labels of the Artistic Compositions punches - these cut-outs are just great - in Dapper Peacock ink, then, after drying, I added the wish - Textured Earthenware Set -. in tone-on-tone. I deliberately worked my shades so that Paon would remain discreet, but there's nothing to stop you darkening the shade.

Finally, using a stump brush, I tinted a piece of vellum with Blé Sauvage ink. The effect is shimmering, almost golden, and I really love it. All that remained was to run the whole thing through a Feuillage punch (Floral Textures here).

Wooow. At first I didn't think I'd use all the colors in one project, but then...

What's up? As you can see, this combo isn't just for Christmas ^^.
