Bienvenue sur ce dernier saut 2023 de l'équipe StampINKspiration !

Avant toute chose et pour être certaine de ne pas oublier, je vous souhaite à toutes et tous de très belles fêtes de fin d'année, emplies de chaleur et d'affection. C'est un moment tellement important, peu importe nos croyances religieuses et encore plus important en ces moments internationaux difficiles.

Noël est une fête plus importante qu'un simple consumérisme, c'est une fête de famille, d'apaisement, de souvenirs heureux et qui fait partie - à des degrés plus ou moins importants - de chacun de nous (parce qu'on à tous des souvenirs associés à ces instants)

Ici, en France, il y a beaucoup de traditions liées aux fêtes de fin d'année, que ce soit dans la Provence qui m'a vue naître, à l'Alsace où j'habite et où Noël est une Institution ! - Bon en Provence aussi mais vraiment en Alsace, c'est quelque chose de dingue -.

Donc, puisque je ne peux pas vous emmener dans ma cuisine, où les gâteaux de Noël cuisent, où les épices parfument l'atmosphère et ou flotte un air de fête, je vais essayer de vous emmener ailleurs, dans les montagnes Alsaciennes.

Welcome to the final Blog hop 2023 of the StampINKspiration team!

First of all, to make sure we don't forget, I'd like to wish you all a very happy festive season, full of warmth and affection. It's such an important time of year, regardless of our religious beliefs, and even more so in these difficult international times.

Christmas is a celebration that's more important than mere consumerism. It's a celebration of family, of peace, of happy memories, and one that is part - to a greater or lesser degree - of each and every one of us (because we all have memories associated with these moments).

Here in France, there are many traditions linked to the end-of-year festivities, whether in Provence, where I was born, or in Alsace, where I live and where Christmas is an institution! - Well, in Provence too, but really in Alsace, it's something crazy.

So, since I can't take you to my kitchen, where the Christmas cakes are baking and the spices are wafting through the air, I'm going to try and take you somewhere else, to the mountains of Alsace.

L'an dernier, j'avais fait un sacré projet. Cette année, je serais plus modeste - parce que je n'arrive pas à avancer sur le gros projet initialement prévu, j'avoue -.

C'est donc une simple carte. Les Vosges sont saupoudrées de neige depuis une bonne semaine, les stations ont même ouverts et le lynx ne doit pas être très content. Et bien entendu, on en revient à un grand classique de Noël : Mon Beau Sapin "O Tannenbaum" et en anglais ? J'ai tellement l'habitude de l'entendre en Allemand mais il existe en anglais j'en suis certaine.

Pour ma carte, je me suis amusée à utiliser les tampons Eternal Forest. Et du papier Brune Dune. C'est assez incroyable cette année, moi qui déteste normalement ce papier, je n'arrête pas de l'utiliser ! Et ce n'est pas faute d'avoir tenté d'utiliser autre chose, j'ai commencé par une version classique à l'encre et vraiment, ça n'allait pas.

Last year, I did quite a project. This year, I'm going to be more modest - because I can't seem to make any headway on the big project I'd originally planned, I admit - so I'm just going to make a simple card.

So this is a simple map. The Vosges have been sprinkled with snow for a good week, the resorts have even opened and the lynx must not be very happy. And of course, we're back to a great Christmas classic: Mon Beau Sapin "O Tannenbaum" and in English? I'm so used to hearing it in German, but I'm sure it exists in English.

For my card, I had fun using Eternal Forest stamps. And Brune Dune paper. It's quite incredible this year - I normally hate this paper, but I can't stop using it! And it's not for lack of trying to use something else, I started with a classic ink version and really, it just didn't work.

Donc, pour ma carte, j'ai utilisé les grands sapins dans les angles, tamponnés et embossés en blanc. Sur la hauteur au centre, de chaque côté, j'ai ajouté un sapin solitaire pour donner une impression cime. Je trouve que le résultat est comme lorsqu'on est en forêt et qu'on lève la tête. Les arbres semblent tourner autour de nous, vous voyez ce que je veux dire ?

Bref, pour ajouter encore de l'effet, j'ai travaillé à la brosse à estompe et à l'encre Craft. Là aussi, ça devient un classique puisque je déteste garder Brune Dune naturel. Enfin, j'ai projeté quelques gouttes d'encre blanche.

Le vœu était simple à trouver. Embossé en or sur papier vélin, juste découpé avec une forme de base et collé aux pastilles 3D. Ensuite... ensuite il a fallut trouver les ornements pour terminer le tout et croyez moi, ça a été le plus dur.

Le tout est doublé d'une bordure blanche et collé sur mon fond de carte en 3D. Le côté 3D est vraiment important lorsqu'on a une carte simple comme celle-ci.

So, for my card, I used the large fir trees in the corners, stamped and embossed in white. In the centre of the card, on either side, I added a solitary fir tree to give the impression of a treetop. I think the result is like standing in a forest and looking up. The trees seem to turn around us, you know what I mean?

Anyway, to add even more effect, I worked with a stump brush and Craft ink. Again, this is becoming a classic as I hate keeping Brune Dune natural. Finally, I sprayed a few drops of white ink.

The wish was easy to find. Embossed in gold on vellum paper, just cut out a basic shape and glued to the 3D pastilles. Then... then we had to find the ornaments to finish it all off, and believe me, that was the hardest part.

The whole thing is lined with a white border and glued to my 3D map background. The 3D aspect is really important when you have a simple card like this.

Ce serait superbe sur une page de scrapbooking à thème Hugge, et tout cela me donne des idées. Au départ, je voulais coordonner cette carte à une boîte, mais je n'ai pas trouvé le projet idéal. Donc, ce sera juste une carte pour moi aujourd'hui !

A présent, allons voir les merveilleux projets que le reste de l'équipe à créé !

It would look great on a Hugge-themed scrapbooking page, and it's all giving me ideas. I originally wanted to co-ordinate this card with a box, but haven't found the perfect project. So it'll just be a card for me today!

Now let's have a look at the wonderful projects the rest of the team have created!
